The Latest from Agari

Fortra's Agari protects brands and people from devastating phishing and socially engineered attacks. Using applied data science and a diverse set of signals, Agari protects the workforce from inbound business email compromise, supply chain fraud, spear phishing, and account takeover-based attacks, reducing business risk and restoring trust to the inbox. Agari also prevents spoofing of outbound email from the enterprise to customers, increasing deliverability and preserving brand integrity.

Recent product releases include:

Fortra Cloud Email Protection has made many user experience improvements when using the platform, as well as added supplemental metrics that continue to support detecting malicious emails and post-enforcement:

  • You can now identify trends such as phishing campaigns, see current attack types, and understand what you are protecting your organization from with the updated Overview Dashboard.  You can view your message, enforcement, and detection trends over time with 7-day, 30-day, or 60-day trend views. You also can sort to see your most recent Brand Imposters, Domain Spoofs, and most attacked individuals.
  • There have been visual updates made and in addition, you can now create and edit large Address Groups by uploading a .csv file of names and addresses.

There are also a number of Detection updates, including two new machine learning models developed by Fortra's Data Science team to enhance overall detection efficacy and trust modeling of threats in your environment:

  • Our Service Abuse Detection model was trained based on the increase in attacks abusing legitimate services that use email as a part of their operation to send email on behalf of the user. A common example of this type of attack is document-hosting services. Modeling features like user profiles, volume and consistency characteristics, and authenticity characteristics will adjust the trust score when we detect potentially abusive emails – either from a legitimate service or a spoofed service.
  • The new Spamming Account Protection model detects a combination of abusive spamming (the darkest of the graymails) and some malicious activity. It is particularly effective at taking messages that were previously labeled as "suspicious" and making a more definitive "untrusted" determination. This makes it easier for you to confidently enforce these messages.

See all of these new enhancements in action with our Dashboard tour.
