Recent product releases include:
- BeSTORM 13.2
- A few highly requested enhancements along with several protocol additions. These additions will help expand the implementation of black box fuzzing during application development. International compliance regulations are beginning to require fuzz testing security certification within testing labs on telecommunication and wireless connectivity equipment, prior to deployment. These added protocols are the beginning of the required fuzz testing additions.
- BeSTORM Improvements
- Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Protocol: BLE Monitor for monitoring a device under test (DUT) while fuzzing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocols.
- CAN DBC Files Support: With defined multiplexed signals for CANBUS modules.
- BeSTORM Protocols Added:
- IS-IS Module: Support the Intermediate System to Intermediate System (IS-IS) protocol described in standard ISO/IEC 10589:2002.
- MPLS LDP Module Support: Multiprotocol Label Switching – Label Distribution Protocol (MPLS LDP) as described in standard RFC 5036.
- OSPFv2 module Support: The Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Version 2 protocol described in standard RFC 2328.
- OSPFv3 Module Support: The Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Version 3 protocol described in standard RFC 5340.
- BeSTORM Improvements
- This release also includes enhancements and various bug fixes to improve overall usability and quality.
- Additionally, user guide restructuring is in progress as preparations to migrate knowledgebase to Fortra Support Portal later this year are underway.
