Welcome to Release Day 2024.2 

These pages are designed to give you highlights of the innovative new features now available within the latest versions of the solutions you rely on. The products you use on a daily basis fall within suites that solve similar business requirements. These suites fall into three major portfolios, Infrastructure Protection & Data Security, Intelligence & Automation, and IBM i & Additional products. This new structure has been created to build solutions that meet specific organizational needs, and ultimately create the best experience for our customers.

You'll notice a Fortra Release Rocket beside some release announcements, denoting a major release. Note that you'll still see timely bug fixes and minor releases throughout the year to provide you with the best usability and experience for your Fortra products.

The Latest from Robot

Fortra's Robot product line is designed and developed with operators in mind. Our modern interfaces and enterprise-class functionality make it possible for even novice IBM i teams to manage the system by exception, freeing up time to focus on IT initiatives that add value and impact the bottom line.  

Recent product releases include:

  • Robot Schedule 13.16  
    • History purge program RBT655 now addresses entries representing Schedule jobs that are no longer defined to the software. 
    • Added support to improve uptime of the product's monitor jobs that run within RBTSLEEPER subsystem. 
    • Resolved inconsistency issue within the Job Schedule List ‘Options’ window and the appearance of an arrow (>). 
    • OPAL objects are now correctly reflected in a GUI forecast/simulation. 
  • Robot Schedule Enterprise 3.04 
    • Enhanced protocol swapping by adding scripts to perform operations to set up a specific TLS protocol as the ‘override default’. 
    • Fixed an issue where viewing Diagnostics for some agents resulted in an error. 
    • Cleaned up ‘false errors’ in the Schedule Enterprise logs for both the IBM i server and the remote agents.  
    • Fixed issue with viewing the IBM i Schedule Enterprise service log in the Diagnostic Information page. 
    • Resolved CVE-2024-0259 where Robot Schedule Enterprise Agent for Windows was susceptible to privilege escalation.
